Wonderful summer weather

June 19, 2014

I woke this morning at 5.45 and opened the curtains to a perfectly clear blue sky and crystal clear visibility. Chickens were chirping away ready to be outside for the day and anyway this weather certainly makes you (me) want to get up and out as well.

Julie went off early to Exeter, she has a day at the University so I intend to have a stress free day pottering in the garden. The last two days have been particularly stressful as she had to get the final copy of her thesis off to the University in time for her to attend next months graduation day and yesterday was the cut off day.  Four years of hard work finally over and she can call herself Dr Julie in future. I am sure all the hard work and stress will be worth it in the end.

Well that’s it 10 minutes typing and it must be time for a tea break.

2.00 pm and the temperature has reached 31.8 in the shade in my garden so it is under the cover of the gazebo for a while to hot to do anything else, might just open a cold cider but purely for medicinal purposes!!

Looking forward the weather forecast is for this to continue into next week, well you will not be getting a complaint from me about that our summers are short enough and as far as I am concerned I plan to enjoy every minute of what we get.
